Dwayne Wade's Young, Fly and Flashy Skating Party, a charity celebrity roller skating event, will take place Friday at Lynwood Sports Center, 2030 Glenwood Dyer Rd., Lynwood. Wade, along with fellow NBA players Udonis Haslem, Quentin Richardson, Corey Maggette and Dorell Wright; and entertainers Kanye West, Trick Daddy, Cool and Dre and Lauren London are scheduled to appear.
A "Kids Skate" will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. for kids ages up to 17. General admission and VIP/Platinum roller skating will be from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. General admission party will run from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. VIP tent party/concert will run from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets. A limited number of tickets are available on-site at Lynwood Sports Center. Proceeds will benefit the Wade's World Foundation.

Baseball Challenge at Diamond Kings
Diamond Kings Baseball and Softball Training Complex in St. John will host a 12-week Fall Baseball Challenge from Sept. 29 through Dec. 29. The challenge consists of four weeks of baseball classes, four weeks of skills camp, and four weeks of power and speed camps. The package also includes membership to Diamond Kings, free cage rental until 2008 and private lessons.
The complex also is holding indoor hitting leagues for ages 10-13, 13-16 and 17-to-adult. The cost for the eight-week league is $85 per player.
