Antawn Jamison's tip-in with a second left Wednesday allowed Washington to end an eight-game losing streak with a 91-89 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
After letting a 23-point lead slip away against Golden State in their previous outing, the Wizards managed to cough up a five-point advantage in the final minutes against the Clippers.
But after Los Angeles' Corey Maggette made two free throws to tie it with 26 seconds to play, the Wizards came up with the winning basket on what was their third attempt.
Antonio Daniels missed a jump shot and Darius Songaila was there for the rebound and follow-up attempt. But Songaila missed ,as well, before Jamison made good on his tip.
Jamison led the Wizards with 29 points and Brandan Haywood had 15. Los Angeles was paced by Al Thornton with 24 and Corey Maggette with 20.
